Let's Learn About Math!
Fun with Numbers and Blunt Objects

Try this amazing math magic trick on for size:
  • First think of an integer between 1 and 10

  • Take that number and count the number of letters that make up its name

  • Multiply the # of letters by 3

  • Take the first letter of that new number and think of a color that starts with that letter

  • Now, think of an animal that is that color (if you picked a particularly odd color to be found in nature, remember that fish and microorganisms can be found in every shade of every color. What's that? Yes, that's right. There are neon puce microorganisms, but honestly "neon puce"? Honestly.)

  • Now imagine that animal was a chronic chain smoker and think of the brand of cigarettes your chosen animal would smoke (once again, if you have a particularly odd animal the answer is always "cloves")

  • Count the number of letters in that cigarette company's name

  • Go and grab a baseball bat from your bat collection, a red one that's at least 31" and 20oz.

  • Now take the number of letters, put your forehead on the bat, and spin around it that many times

  • Stand up

  • Attempt to walk

  • Knock over your roommate's 27" television set

  • Fall down and bruise your knee

  • Curse a steady stream of profanities, including 7 new curse words you just made up

Okay, are you ready to be amazed? Think of your original number. Got it? Alright...Your original number is 8!

Huh? What do you mean it isn't 8? Oh, wait I forgot. Take your #, multiply it by pi and then insert it as "n" into this equation:
Taaaa Daaaaah!

...Still not 8? Man, are you sure you used a red bat?
